Our doors open at 10:00, so anyone wanting to sit down at a table at eight o'clock has come to the wrong place. Having a lie-in and only then having breakfast fits in much better here. You sit down for a late breakfast in Amsterdam Noord, in an old shipbuilding shed at the NDSM wharf, with the whole day still ahead of you. Whether you call it breakfast or brunch doesn't matter to us, as the two blend into one another here anyway. Take your time over it, we are in no hurry and you probably aren't either.

Brunching on the worksite

Brunching with us is mostly a matter of staying put. You start with coffee, then you order something else, and before you know it, it is half past one. The warehouse gives you every opportunity to do just that, with high windows, exposed steel and tables where no one gives you the evil eye. At the weekend, one table here is packed with friends rehashing the night before, and the next with a family that has just stepped off the ferry. If you are looking for a place to brunch in Amsterdam Noord where the morning gently merges into the afternoon, you will be in the right place at the shipyard. We certainly will not be clearing away your plate at twelve o'clock.

Coffee, and then taking it easy

Many guests start here with just a cup of coffee. You grab a table by the windows, read something, and only then see if you are feeling hungry. What is on the menu that day shifts with the season, because our kitchen cooks with French class and Amsterdam cosiness and changes along with what is available. If you want to know in advance what the kitchen is serving, just take a look at our menus. If you stay seated until past midday, your morning naturally drifts into having lunch on the building site. That saves you a choice, as you just need to stay seated.

This is how you get to IJver

We are located at Scheepsbouwkade 72, 1033 WM Amsterdam, on the grounds of the NDSM shipyard. If you are coming from the city, the ferry from Amsterdam Central Station is the easiest way to get here. By bike, you can roll straight onto the shipyard grounds from Noord, and getting here by road is just as easy. We are open every day from 10:00, so you are welcome to walk right in from that time onwards. You can find the directions and our opening hours together at the contact page.

Can you have breakfast outside on the terrace?

Yes. We have an outdoor terrace, an indoor terrace and a heated indoor-outdoor terrace, so you can sit outside here all year round. If it gets colder, you simply slide into the covered section.

How do you get from Amsterdam Central Station to IJver?

Take the ferry to the NDSM shipyard. Afterwards, you will be at our warehouse at Scheepsbouwkade 72, 1033 WM Amsterdam. By bicycle or by road, you can get there via Amsterdam Noord.
