We are a cafe-restaurant at the NDSM shipyard which is open all day, from breakfast to late-night drinks. In the afternoon, that means peace, space and plenty of time to linger. The NDSM wharf was once the place where ocean-going ships were built. Now it is home to studios, festival grounds and walls full of graffiti, and right in the middle of that stands our warehouse. That makes having lunch at the NDSM wharf a little different from quickly grabbing a table somewhere in the city centre. You walk across the wharf grounds to get inside and immediately find yourself in a warm, industrial space. Local residents from Noord sit here alongside visitors who have just walked out of an exhibition. We call IJver your second living room, and that is exactly how lunch in Amsterdam Noord feels with us. Whether you drop by after a walk across the wharf, you can just slide right up to a table. What is on the lunch menu

Our kitchen cooks seasonally, with French flair and Amsterdam charm. Exactly what is on the menu shifts with the seasons, which you can best read on the menu itself. Before midday we run our own menu. You will find the lunch menu alongside our menus, besides the ones for dinner and drinks & bites. Drinks are just as much a part of it. Alongside the coffee, we pour from 20 draught beer taps with a changing selection, so there is almost always something new on. That is how lunch in Amsterdam Noord regularly flows right into drinks with us. We are here all day anyway.

In good weather you sit on our large outdoor terrace, with the shipyard all around you. In the rain, you take a seat inside the shed. In addition, we have an indoor terrace and a heated indoor-outdoor terrace. As a result, you can easily have lunch outside here even in November, without having to flee inside halfway through. So you can choose on the spot whatever feels most comfortable at the time, because the terrace is in use here all year round.
